How Best to Turn Both Stale and Red-Hot Inventory

In the latest online video in his series, “Hard Facts with Dennis Galbraith,” the chief marketing officer of Potratz Advertising offered advice not only to turn that inventory that’s getting long in the tooth, but also how to leverage the most out of those vehicles he said are “hotter than donut grease.”
Galbraith began with saying, “It’s impossible to do your marketing without understanding your inventory, what you have today, what’s coming in through the pipeline and what you penetration is at every model level.
“There are just some models that are just selling hotter than donut grease. You can’t keep them in the store,” he continued. “For those sales, it’s best we get those from customers close enough that we might get their service business as well.
“You’ve also got some models that are just hard to sell,” Galbraith went on to say. “If we don’t keep our eye on the ball, these things are going to sit around until they have a birthday.”
