Manheim Names 2 New Auction GMs

Manheim has announced the selection of two new leaders within the company, hiring an industry veteran who most recently worked at Nissan, and promoting another from within.
Named general manager of Manheim San Francisco Bay is Tina Novoa, while Jay Waterman has been named general manager of Manheim Albany.
Both will assume their new roles by the end of September, Manheim said.
Novoa comes to Manheim from Nissan North America, where she served as dealer operations manager.
Prior to that role, Novoa held positions at Wells Fargo Bank, Volkswagen Credit Inc., and GE Capital Fleet Services. She is a graduate of the University of La Verne in Athens, Greece, and also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from California State University in Hayward, Calif.
Manheim noted that Novoa has a proven sales record, maintains strong relationships with key dealers and has led successful teams.
“I am very excited about the addition of Tina to our Pacific Market team,” said Julie Picard, market vice president of the Pacific Market. “We are looking forward to capitalizing on all of the great opportunities we have at Manheim’s San Francisco Bay location. Tina’s customer-focused approach is sure to make an immediate positive impact for our customers and employees.”
Meanwhile, Waterman was promoted from his previous post as assistant general manager at Manheim Albany, and will now assume full responsibility for all business operations there, the company said.
Jerry Tassone, market vice president of the Northeast Market, said, “Jay brings many years of operational and management experience to his new position. This experience, coupled with his keen relationship building skills, will be huge assets for our employees and our customers. I am confident that Jay brings all the skills needed to ensure the highest level of customer service and employee engagement.”
Waterman, who has worked in the auction and automotive industries for more than 23 years, began his career at Manheim Albany in 1989.
Since 1999, the company said, he has served as assistant general manager, implementing new organizational processes and procedures, and created a profitable internal operations infrastructure at the Albany location.
