INDIANAPOLIS -

Online marketplace MaxTradeIn revealed this week it has expanded its range adding locations in Indiana, Illinois and Tennessee.

The website, which allows car owners to trade in or sell their used vehicles by selecting local dealers to compete for their business, also reached a milestone, surpassing $155 million in offers.

These offers came from nearly 200 car dealers throughout the Midwest that subscribe to the service.

And now the company is extending its net to include dealerships in Champaign and Moline, lll.; Terre Haute, Ind.; and Nashville, Tenn.

“Your vehicle’s value can be influenced by several factors, including sales activity, current market trends, competition and location. Because of this negotiating offers for your trade-in or vehicle sale can be one of the  most stressful parts of the car buying process,” said Justin Bates, chief executive officer and co-founder of MaxTradeIn.

“MaxTradeIn takes those variables off the table and connects you with trusted dealers in your area. Our dealers provide  real-time trade-in and sale offers on your car — not ranges or estimates like  you find online or in guide books.”

MaxTradeIn officials also explained how the system helps dealers not only secure used inventory, but also drive potential new customers to the dealership’s store.

MaxTradeIn DealerDirect is a tool that is integrated into a subscribing dealership’s existing website and enables site visitors to enter their Vehicle Identification Number and a few quick details about their used car to receive a nearly instant offer directly from that dealer when selling or trading in their vehicle, the company explained.

“MaxTradeIn DealerDirect is a great way to mainstream leads to your  dealership website,” said Rusty Lasley, Internet manager at Dugan Chevrolet. “Between the dashboard and email notifications, it’s hard to  miss a sale opportunity or buy for your used car inventory.”
