RALEIGH, N.C. –
Anderson Automotive Group of Raleigh is on the move, having acquired a Nissan dealership earlier this month.
Taking over the former Southern States Nissan dealership here, the Anderson Group has renamed the store Fred Anderson Nissan, according to local news reports by the Triangle Business Journal.
Nearby Subaru, Mazda and Hyundai dealerships are merging on the lot next door.
Fred Anderson Nissan general manager Ed Carroll confirmed the buy of the Nissan dealership from Southern States Automotive owners, which took place on Sept. 9 under undisclosed terms.
Carroll told the Journal in the report originally posted here that with approximately 300 cars on the lot currently, the company is working to build up inventory.
Meanwhile, Southern States reportedly continues to sell Subaru, Mazda, Hyundai and Volkswagen automobiles within this North Carolina region. The company sold its Apex, N.C., Nissan dealership to Leith Automotive of Raleigh in 2012.
