POADA Releases Dealer Guide to Third-Party CPO Programs

The Pre-Owned Automobile Dealers Alliance recently released a white paper that describes the pros and cons of various non-manufacturer certification programs and helps guide dealers in choosing a certification program for their non-brand, or other makes and models, vehicles.
The white paper, “Certified Profit Potential: Increase Your Profits with an OMM Certification Program,” can be downloaded for free at www.poada.biz/whitepaper. The paper answers a host of questions about third-party, other-makes-and-models certification programs, including:
—How much money are dealers leaving on the table if they are not certifying all makes and models in their inventory?
—How can franchise dealers certify their other-makes-and-models vehicles?
—What certification options are available for independent and former franchise dealers?
—What should dealers look for in a third-party OMM certification program?
“OMM certification programs offer a significant profit opportunity for dealers, and POADA believes that all dealers — franchise, independent and former franchise — can benefit from participating in one of these programs,” said Bill Zadeits, POADA’s managing director.
“We created this white paper to help dealers discover how they can benefit from an OMM certification program and how to choose the program this is right for their dealership,” Zadeits added.
