Colby Sturdivant plans to run a dealership one day.
And she is well on her way to accomplishing that goal, fueled by her passion for automotive and helping people.
Sturdivant, who is new-car manager at Freedom Honda Sumter in South Carolina, is taking the next step in that journey through the NCM General Manager Executive Program.
NCM Associates partnered with the Women of Color Automotive Network (WOCAN) to present a first-of-its kind scholarship to Sturdivant, who was awarded a full ride to that program.
Sturdivant and Ashley Cavazos, who is president of WOCAN and a consultant, instructor and 20 group moderator at NCM Associates, joined the Auto Remarketing Podcast for a conversation with senior editor Joe Overby about the scholarship program and their career journeys and aspirations in retail automotive.
Sturdivant shares her familial connection and inspiration in auto, along with what she’s most looking forward to about the Executive Program’s curriculum. Cavazos also shares her experience leading WOCAN since assuming the role of president in July.
