RML Automotive Adds Toyota Dealership

The country’s largest minority-owned auto franchise just got bigger, with the addition of a Toyota dealership in the Lone Star State.
RML Automotive, which is headquartered in Little Rock, Ark., announced this week its acquisition of Toyota of Lewisville in Lewisville, Texas. The 74,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility was previously owned by Rene Isip and currently employs 125 people.
“Today's announcement is further proof of RML's commitment to building a strong automotive brand and leadership within the industry,” said Robert Johnson, chairman of the board for RLJ McLarty Landers Automotive Holdings LLC.
“The Lewisville dealership was an ideal addition to the RML portfolio. With its exceptional staff and general managers who are focused on meeting customer satisfaction, we are delighted to expand our presence in Texas with this latest dealership acquisition,” Johnson said.
RML Automotive consists of 35 automotive franchises across the South-Central, Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest regions of the United States. In Texas, the company already owns dealerships in Burleson, Waxahachie and Fort Worth.
“At RML we believe in providing the very best sales and service to our customers. We are pleased to become a part of the Lewisville community, and we look forward to serving the people there with the same level of satisfaction and care as we do in our other locations across the United States,” said RML chief executive officer Franklin McLarty. “I am excited for what the future holds in Lewisville and the surrounding communities.”
