GREEN BAY, Wisc. -

The Russ Darrow Group broadened its used-vehicle operation this week by unveiling two new dealerships at one location.

Located at 2800 Ramada Way in Green Bay, Wisc., the group now is running another Russ Darrow Used Car Superstore, the second of its kind in its store portfolio. The group has a similar lot in Appleton, Wisc.

Also at this Green Bay location is the newest J.D. Byrider franchise and the seventh buy-here, pay-here chain dealership now owned by the Russ Darrow Group. J.D. Byrider and Russ Darrow work together for a total of seven stores — five in Wisconsin and two in Colorado.

The Russ Darrow Used Car Superstore of Green Bay and this J.D. Byrider dealership are on the property formerly known in the market as Bergstrom Saturn.

At the Russ Darrow Used Car Superstore, the lot plans to have approximately 150 units, including budget vehicles, certified vehicles, sport utilities, crossovers, sedans and more. An additional 1,000 vehicles are available within the Russ Darrow Group system and can be acquired to meet a customer’s specific needs.

The showroom features free Wi-Fi, televisions and a lounge. The facility also boasts a full-service maintenance and repair facility for all makes and models with six service bays and the capacity to add on as business grows.

Russ Darrow Group’s Collision Repair Center in Appleton will manage vehicle damage and body work, according to the group.

Paul McDonald will serve as the new superstore’s general manager, overseeing approximately 25 new hires. A grand opening celebration is scheduled for later this fall.

“We are a family-owned business in Wisconsin for 48 years, and we’re excited to be given the opportunity to earn the trust of consumers in the Green Bay market for the very first time,” said Mike Darrow, president of the Russ Darrow Group.

“Green Bay and the surrounding area residents will get the opportunity to experience the Darrow Difference,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Russ Darrow Group bringing on another J.D. Byrider franchise at this location raises the BHPH chain’s network to 151 locations in 30 states. J.D. Byrider has plans to open more than five new stores by the end of this year.

“The Fox Valley has been a great home to us over the past 13 years, and we are excited for the opportunity to better serve the community with the addition of our Green Bay store,” said Steve Muller, president of J.D. Byrider Wisconsin.

“Car shoppers have been very responsive to J.D. Byrider’s customer-friendly sales process, with our current Fox Valley-based customer satisfaction rates at 96 percent for sales and 95 percent for service,” Muller continued. “We look forward to meeting their needs while contributing to the growth and development of the area.”
