Ship.Cars’ new partnership is a sound idea.

The sound will be coming from AI-powered voice automation on the automotive logistics technology provider’s platform, the product of the company’s newly-announced collaboration with artificial intelligence technology company Axe.

The voice agents are designed to streamline communication between shippers and carriers by automating routine phone-based workflows — including calls to collect shipment updates, coordinate deliveries and confirm transportation details — throughout the transportation management processes, helping customers gather shipment updates quickly and efficiently.

In a news release, Ship.Cars said the partnership’s goal is to reduce manual communication tasks, accelerate shipment visibility and enhance operational efficiency across logistics operations by reducing repetitive manual phone calls.

The companies said the partnership offers automated shipment status collection through AI voice agents, faster access to shipment updates for logistics teams and enhanced workflow automation in the Ship.Cars platform.

“Automation and AI are transforming logistics operations,” Ship.Cars AI transformation lead Anna Alourdas said. “Our partnership with Axe allows us to bring powerful AI voice capabilities directly into our platform, helping our customers save time, improve visibility and focus on higher-value tasks.”

Ship.Cars called the integration “a significant step forward” in its commitment to innovation in transportation technology, using Axe’s voice AI infrastructure to expand its automation capabilities to address operational challenges in logistics.

It’s also part of Ship.Cars’ broader strategy to deliver intelligent tools that help logistics companies operate more efficiently in an increasingly digital supply chain environment, the company said.
