V20 adds partners for PR, marketing

Vendor 20 Group announced two new partnerships to expand its industry influence, boost member visibility and support the group’s mission to unite auto industry vendors through innovation and collaboration.
The group has joined with Charisma! Communications for public relations and Maxamy for marketing strategy and execution, the group said in a news release.
V20, which says it’s the first 20 group designed specifically for auto industry vendors, launched in 2024 to connect vendors in a non-competitive environment to exchange insights, drive innovation and discuss industry challenges that directly impact dealerships. Its goal is to accelerate the development and deployment of technology and strategies that help dealers operate more efficiently and engage customers more effectively.
The groups are moderated by co-founder David Kain, senior advisor of NCM and formerly with Kain Automotive.
The new partnerships bring expertise to “strengthen V20’s presence and highlight its members’ achievements,” the group said, seeking to amplify V20’s voice in the automotive market, drive member growth and spotlight ideas and best practices emerging from the group.
“V20 is reshaping how automotive vendors collaborate to solve the real problems dealerships face, from data strategy to automation to marketing effectiveness,” said Reunion Marketing founder and CEO Dave Spannhake, who serves as V20’s co-founder and president. “Charisma! offers proven PR expertise, while Maxamy delivers marketing strategies that strengthen V20’s position and spotlight its members’ impact on dealer success.”
Charisma! Communications, founded and owned by Laurie Halter, will lead V20’s public relations efforts, including media outreach and thought leadership initiatives. Maxamy, founded and owned by Melissa Maxey, specializes in growth marketing strategies for B2B and B2C organizations. It will manage marketing campaigns aimed at growing V20’s reach, attracting new members and showcasing the group’s leadership in automotive retail.
“V20’s collaborative model gives vendors a unique space to share ideas and solve problems together,” V20 co-founder Brent Williams said. “With Charisma! and Maxamy, we’re highlighting the innovation and collaboration happening inside our cohorts.”
V20 has launched four active cohorts focusing on industry topics such as data strategy, digital marketing and the impact of automation on dealership operations.
