Vaughan Automotive’s reputation isn’t perfect. But it’s darn close.

The dealership group, which operates three locations in Texas and one in California, claimed the No. 1 spot in Widewail’s Q2 2025 Voice of the Customer Top 150 Automotive Group Rankings, a quarterly report that evaluates groups for excellence in customer reputation.

Vaughan’s strong review volume and consistent online engagement with customers earned a “reputation health score” of 97 on a 100-point scale to outpace Page Autos d/b/a Coral Springs Auto Mall (95), Hendrick Automotive Group (92), Mullinax Automotive (91) and Sheehy Auto Stores and One Automotive, which both scored 90.

Widewail’s health score is based on monthly and lifetime volume of Google reviews, average star rating and response rates, which the customer review and reputation management platform said highlights the importance of customer feedback and reputation management as “key differentiators” among dealers.

“Customer feedback has never been more influential in shaping the success of automotive retailers, which face increased competition from both brick-and-mortar and online dealerships,” Widewail CEO Cuyler Owens said. “Our rankings showcase those groups that not only deliver exceptional customer experiences but also prioritize transparency and trust by actively engaging with their communities online.”

In a news release, Owens focused on the importance of high review volume as an indicator of strong customer engagement and a source of valuable insights on how to improve operations and customer care, and response rate, which he said indicates how actively groups engage with customer feedback and proactively commit to acknowledging and addressing customer experiences.

Vaughan ranked first in both of those categories.

“Volume shows a group is consistently asking for feedback, but response rate proves they’re listening,” Owens said. “Dealers who excel in both are setting a new standard for customer care, using reviews not just as a marketing tool but as a two-way dialogue that drives loyalty and long-term growth.”
