TORONTO –
Volvo Canada revealed this week a newly appointed chief financial officer.
Chosen for the position of CFO is Matt Girgis, who will take on the role this coming Monday.
The company explained that Girgis has extensive experience from past positions at BMW Group and previously Volvo Canada, where he held various roles within the finance organization.
Girgis will report to Marc Engelen, president and chief executive officer of Volvo Cars of Canada.
"We are happy to welcome Matt to the Volvo family along with his wealth of experience in the industry," said Engelen. "I look forward to working collaboratively with him to develop a sustainable growth plan for Volvo in Canada."
Volvo explained that Girgis will "work to further strengthen the executive management team in Canada by implementing specific financial plans and analysis parameters in line with Canadian policies."
