VW Moves Exec to Northeast Regional Director

Volkswagen of America recently shifted one of its parts and services executives to serve in the role of region director to oversee the OEM’s franchised dealers in the Northeast.
Tapped for the position is David Durant, who will be based in Woodcliff Lake, N.J.
In his new role, Volkswagen explained Durant will be responsible for managing and enhancing sales and after sales operations, strengthening local dealer relations and promoting the brand on a regional level. Durant will report to Frank Trivieri, vice president of sales at Volkswagen.
Most recently, Durant was director of Volkswagen brand after sales where he has implemented cutting-edge strategies to improve parts and accessory market share and increase service retention and the customer experience.
The automaker highlighted Durant brings more than 20 years of automotive experience to his new role. Durant began his career at General Motors where he held various positions in sales and service. He also worked in retail where he was responsible for the overall profitability of sales and service.
Durant joined Volkswagen of America in 2005 as the services operations leader.
“Having strong leadership in the regions is critical to strengthening and maintaining Volkswagen’s relationships with customers and dealers in their markets,” Trivieri stressed.
“With the appointment of Dave to Northeast region director and our recent addition of a fifth region in Dallas, we’re ensuring our dealers are equipped to provide the highest level of quality and service to our growing customer base,” Trivieri added.
