FRANKLIN, Tenn. -

ServNet described how successful its annual trek to Detroit was for what the auction executives call their “Meet the Owners” event. ServNet’s leaders recently visited with remarketers from Chrysler, Ford, General Motors, GMAC (Ally) and Automotive Credit Corp.

Chief executive officer Pierre Pons emphasized the yearly luncheon gives the remarketers an opportunity to learn more about ServNet’s position in the industry and to become better acquainted with the owners of the ServNet auctions.

“ServNet’s Meet the Owners events have met with great success among the remarketing community,” Pons insisted.

“Planned in a format that is convenient for consignors, these events showcase the strength, heritage and capabilities of ServNet member auctions and help forge even stronger relationships between owners and consignors,” he continued.

Focusing on what they believe is a position as a “premiere network of independent auto auctions working together to strengthen and build business relationships,” Pons and ServNet president Jeff Brasher provided the gathering with an overview of their geographic footprint, which extends into all major U.S. markets and now includes Alaska with the addition of the newest member auction — Dealers Auto Auction of Alaska in Anchorage.

Linda Silverstein, manager of remarketing and rental operations at Ford, found the event particularly beneficial.

“The meeting was very informative, highlighting ServNet and the value that doing business with a ServNet auction brings to its customers,” Silverstein stated.

“I also enjoyed hearing from Steve Sautner from DAA of Alaska and Bruce Beam of DAA of Oklahoma City,” she went on to say. “It is always interesting to learn more about the people behind the business.”

Pons’ presentation also stressed the many years ServNet auctions have served the industry.

“ServNet auctions are among the longest-running and best-capitalized auctions in the U.S., many run by second and third generation owners.” Pons declared.

“These are auctions with experienced staffs, long-term management and well-established business practices that have endured the peaks and valleys of the economy and changing market conditions for decades,” he also mentioned. “ServNet auctions continue to provide the standard for consistent service from coast-to-coast and the best opportunities for buying and selling at auction.”
