FRANKLIN, Tenn. -

As 2011 draws to a close, the ServNet Auction Group has taken a look at some of what’s on tap for the group in 2012, sharing some of the promotional events scheduled at member auctions across the country throughout the coming year.

ServNet is releasing its full 2012 promotional calendar next month, but it offered a sneak peak at what is on the horizon for the group.

Upcoming events for next year include the following:

“Promotional sales have a tremendous impact in the marketplace,” stated ServNet chief executive officer Pierre Pons. “The special events planned among the ServNet auctions give dealers a larger selection of vehicles to choose from, and they provide consignors with more exposure and a greater return on their inventory.

“Promotional sales are a win/win for everyone involved, and no one does promotions better than ServNet Auctions,” he added.

“Even as the market fluctuates, we cannot let down in our determination to provide the most vibrant marketplace for buying and selling cars at auction,” Pons continued. “ServNet auctions are committed to exposing the vehicles crossing their auction blocks to the largest possible market, and promotional sales are part of that effort.”

Sharing an auction owner’s perspective, Bob McConkey, of DAA Northwest, offered his take. His auction has held its Rock & Roll Sale the past 16 years.

“I’m fond of saying that our promotional sales are the most fun you’ll have at work,” said McConkey. “A strong relationship with a customer goes far beyond just the transaction of doing business, and we’ve discovered that our promotional sales are a great way to gather up friends, customers, vendors and suppliers to spend a great time together.

“Events like our Rock and Roll Sale result in our customers feeling closer to us as a business and wanting to come back week after week,” he continued.
