HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. -

ADP Digital Marketing, a business unit of ADP Dealer Services, recently announced that it will open a digital marketing innovation center in downtown Detroit.

Company officials indicated they will initially be hiring approximately 150 digital marketing professionals during the next few months.

ADP highlighted the facility will house data scientists, digital advertising professionals, Web technologists and digital marketing consultants. The innovation center will work with both manufacturer and dealer clients to design, deliver and support multichannel hyperlocal digital marketing solutions connecting national advertising with local dealer sales.

Officials explained the decision to locate the facility followed a nation-wide site evaluation, which Detroit won based on the quality of local talent, the city’s passion for the automotive industry and the opportunity for close collaboration with automotive manufacturers and their agencies.

ADP Digital Marketing reiterated that it focuses on providing digital advertising solutions that complement manufacturer campaigns by delivering seamless consumer experiences for in-market shoppers across the internet, efficiently connecting shoppers with dealers and their inventory.

The company said this objective is accomplished with a proprietary hyperlocal advertising platform that can supplement national messaging with individual dealer branding while dynamically optimizing multiple digital channels for thousands of dealers and local markets.

ADP Digital Marketing supports the online shopping process of more than 5 million consumers every week, serving results for more than 500 million vehicle inventory searches a year, working with a majority of U.S. franchised dealers.

“Innovation comes from great talent with a passion for their work collaborating intimately with clients,” said John Holt, senior vice president of ADP Digital Marketing.

“We located our innovation center in Detroit because these elements come together in a powerful brew to help us extend our technology leadership and deepen client relationships,” Holt continued.

ADP’s commitment to downtown Detroit was supported by a Michigan Business Development Program incentive.

“We have been pleased with the assistance and collaboration provided by the state of Michigan in the site selection process,” John Holt said. “The state has created a welcoming environment for business investment and job growth.”

Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder added, “This welcome decision by ADP is a vote of confidence in the future of Detroit and our state. I applaud the company for committing to this impressive investment. Michigan is the comeback state and the hundreds of new jobs resulting from ADP’s expansion will keep us moving in the right direction.”

ADP’s digital marketing innovation center will open next monthy in a downtown Detroit location.
