Auction Edge Announces New Live Online Remarketing Tool

Auction Edge has rolled out a live online remarketing technology known as EDGE Simulcast that is designed to help independent auctions expand their sales, “effortlessly take their auctions online,” benefit buyers and sellers at auction, and more.
“The independent auction industry increasingly is relying on technology solutions to reach more customers and move more vehicles,” said Auction Edge chief executive officer David Weld. “EDGE Simulcast is the intuitive, integrated product that allows auctions to effortlessly take their auctions online.”
Auction Edge indicates that its product allows for rapid and simultaneous bidding across all auction lanes, while also offering immediate access to vehicle information, condition reports, photos and more.
The company said “both the bidder and seller applications are user-friendly, robust and run reliably on industry standard Web browsers.”
Weld added: “Auction Edge is committed to helping independent auto auctions grow their businesses. EDGE Simulcast is a perfect example of technology that makes our customers' jobs easier by providing a deeply integrated auction management and simulcast system with a single point of contact for support.”
Officials emphasized that EDGE Simulcast continues to support multi-clerk interfaces. However, through the new single-clerk interface, an auction clerk can manage auctions more efficiently.
“Navigating through a single screen of vehicle information allows for customized incremental bidding and easy selection between vehicles,” the company explained. “Once a vehicle has crossed the block, the clerk application instantly writes the sale data back to the EDGE ASI system.
Lynn Weaver, one of the product’s beta customers, offered some reaction to EDGE Simulcast,
He said: “EDGE Simulcast is a really slick product — for the auction and for the buyers and sellers. It allows our auction to go down to one clerk on the block, which not only has operational efficiencies, it also simplifies communications on the block, thus reducing errors.”
