CENTREVILLE, Va. –
Carfax hopes a new process launched late last week can provide subscribing dealers the chance to submit a vehicle inquiry and in most cases get a resolution in just a few hours.
The company explained any Carfax-subscribing dealer can initiate the research process from their account at carfaxonline.com. After logging in, dealers can click the Data Correction Form link and fill out the 17-digit VIN to request research.
Afterward, a Carfax representative is set to work with the dealer throughout the data verification process and confirm that the issue has been resolved.
Tim Curtin, dealer business unit director at Carfax, explained years of expertise and dealer customer feedback prompted the latest process change.
“Carfax is constantly looking for ways to further improve the exceptional service we provide our dealer customers,” Curtin insisted.
“We’ve made it easier to initiate the research process and get a faster resolution,” Curtin went on to say. “This helps our customers manage a more efficient business and keeps their operations running smoothly.”
