BALTIMORE –
Carvana added its 36th market on Wednesday, filling another key spot along the East Coast: Baltimore.
Customers within 50 miles of the city who purchase vehicles on the Carvana.com can now have that car delivered as soon as the next day for free.
This is the third city Carvana has added in the past eight days, having brought Chattanooga, Tenn., and Knoxville, Tenn., into the fold last week.
“Baltimore has emerged as a tech-forward city,” Carvana chief executive officer and founder Ernie Garcia said in a news release. “It makes sense to give Baltimore residents an alternative to the antiquated dealership sales process and meet them where they’re making their purchases: online.”
The company also offers what it calls a “fly-and-drive” program. Customers can fly to a Carvana Car Vending Machine in one of five cities (Austin, Texas; Dallas; Houston; Nashville, Tenn.; or San Antonio) to pick up the vehicle and the company will provide a $200 airfare stipend.
Carvana has made vehicle delivers to customers in 48 states. It provides free delivery in 36 markets.
