Chrome Data Adds Kia, Mazda and Chrysler Build Data to Service

Chrome Data Solutions recently announced the availability of Kia, Mazda and Chrysler build data through the company's Automotive Description Service (ADS) VIN decoder.
Officials indicated this is the latest addition to the company’s solution, which also includes build data from General Motors and Nissan.
Chrome explained build data is information available from a vehicle manufacturer that fully describes a vehicle’s specifications and feature content when the vehicle left the manufacturing plant. It can deliver a full and complete description of a vehicle as it was originally built, including all option, package and exterior and interior color codes.
The company emphasized that build data can benefit every retailer and investor in the lifecycle of a pre-owned vehicle. From remarketers to dealers to financial institutions, accurate and complete descriptions can maximize vehicle value, speed-up vehicle turns and mitigate investment risk.
Build data is hosted from the Chrome’s ADS Web services platform, emphasizing security, stability, reporting mechanism and restrictive licensing.
“In an environment where 90 percent or more of vehicle purchases start with an online search, and more remarketers and lenders are relying on electronic descriptions of vehicles, complete vehicle descriptions are a must-have, not a nice-to-have,” said Andrew Lumsden, senior director of strategy and business development for Chrome Data.
“Build data ensures that all of a vehicle’s features are available for publication and consideration, helping consumers make the best vehicle choices, maximizing return for sellers and mitigating risk for investors,” Lumsden continued.
