Dataium Reveals New ‘Shopper Engagement Check-up’ Tool for Dealers

Dataium revealed at the NADA 2014 Convention and Expo a new tool to help dealers better understand how their customers use their store’s websites.
Shopper Engagement Check-Up is designed to help dealers fully understand and capitalize on their online visitor engagement, the company said.
On top of providing information on how shoppers use dealership websites and tips for website effectiveness, it also includes a privacy policy check-up for the services and features on a dealer's website.
Dataium says this feature is designed “to make sure dealers take an active role in protecting the privacy of their visitor.”
This is combined with Dataium's Market Report to benchmark website performance, and a personal website effectiveness consultation based on the best practices of automotive websites throughout the Dataium network.
The company contends that dealers will benefit from having an unbiased, independent review of their online effectiveness. Shopper Engagement Check-Up will also track website progression and improvement after the initial consultation with complimentary performance reports, the company said.
"Online shopping has fundamentally changed the automotive industry," said Angie Sherrell, managing director at Dataium. "Visitors expect more than online window shopping: they want an engaging, informative destination that makes their shopping experience more convenient and productive. Dealers understand that their website data is valuable, and with our Shopper Engagement Check-Up, 2014 will be the year dealers discover the power of their own analytics as a predictor of upcoming sales."
