Fresh off landing $4 million in funding, AutoAcquire AI hired two key executives in the past week, bringing in experienced professionals who have been with organizations like CarMax and CarOffer.
Announced in separate news releases before and after the weekend, tapped to be chief operating officer of the start-up vehicle acquisition software company was Frank Knox, while hired to be its new vice president of sales was Kevin Gotcher.
“Frank is a powerhouse operator and one of the most forward-thinking minds in the vehicle acquisition space,” AutoAcquire AI founder and CEO Anthony Monteiro said. “He knows firsthand what dealerships need to thrive, and his experience scaling acquisition programs from scratch makes him the ideal leader to help us scale our platform and impact.
“As we continue to scale nationally, Kevin’s leadership will be critical in helping dealers modernize and optimize their acquisition strategy,” Monteiro continued. “He deeply understands both the operational pain points dealerships face and the power of AI to solve them. We’re excited to welcome him to the team.”
Knox previously served as director of purchasing for Off Lease Only — at one point was one of the nation’s largest independent dealerships — where he led the development of direct-from-consumer acquisition programs and scaled buy centers across all locations.
Earlier in his career, Knox spent more than 17 years at CarMax, where he played a pivotal role in launching MaxOffer, a tool that impacted vehicle acquisition through data and technology.
At AutoAcquire AI, Knox will oversee operations with a focus on scaling the company’s platform, optimizing inventory sourcing strategies, and expanding customer acquisition programs.
“Joining AutoAcquire AI as COO is an incredible opportunity,” Knox said. “This team is building the future of vehicle sourcing. I’m excited to bring my operational experience to help dealerships win in a changing marketplace — and to help AutoAcquire lead that change.”
Meanwhile, Gotcher brings more than a decade of experience in automotive SaaS and dealership solutions, most recently serving in a senior sales leadership role at CarOffer, where he was instrumental in expanding market share and forging strategic partnerships across the country.
In his new role, Gotcher will oversee sales strategy, regional growth, and customer engagement initiatives as AutoAcquire AI rapidly expands across key U.S. markets.
The company’s artificial intelligence platform can enable dealerships to acquire vehicles directly from consumers using predictive analytics, remote inspections, instant valuations, title verification, and logistics automation — all in one seamless workflow.
“I’ve seen firsthand how technology can reshape this industry,” Gotcher said. “AutoAcquire AI is building the most comprehensive and dealer-friendly acquisition tool in the market today. I’m excited to help dealerships grow smarter and faster with it.”
