Online car buying startup Gettacar has named former Roadster sales leader Amit Chandarana as vice president and head of commercial.
In the new role, Chandarana will focus on business development, lending relationships, key strategic initiatives and what the company describes as “enhancing Gettacar’s customer journey.”
At Roadster, Chandarana led sales, business development and strategy. He has held sales, marketing, digital and operational positions at Toyota, FCA and Edmunds.
“Amit's main responsibility will be to advocate for the customer by creating an unparalleled customer experience that aligns with our mission of being the best car buying and ownership experience.” Gettacar founder and chief executive officer Yossi Levi said in a news release. “Specifically, he will use a customer-first lens to optimize revenue and the customer’s experience.”
“I couldn't be more excited to join an upstart like Gettacar where the mission is completely aligned with my goals and passion of modernizing the automotive lifecycle.” Chandarana said.
Chandarana also said, “Our data and customer reviews tell us that our younger, often female skewed audience enjoys taking advantage of the frictionless experience we provide and that the single contact assisted sales experience is becoming the standard.”
Gettacar lauched in 2018 and describes itself as an online car buying platform that focuses on the customer experience and represents the future of car buying. The company seeks to make remote delivery and purchasing from home the norm by offering car buyers 48-hour deliveries, at-home test driving, and a 365-day bumper-to-bumper protection and maintenance package included with every car.
Car buyers using Gettacar can buy online in as little as 12 minutes and get real-time online financing options, with seven days to decide whether they would like to keep the car.
