SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -

CT Services, a Jack Cooper Diversified Company, has hired Bob Gapinski as vice president of business development, noting that Gapinski brings more than 25 years of senior management experience in the testing, inspection and certification, or TIC, industry.

Gapinski will lead the company’s efforts to develop and implement its next-generation OEM dealership process and vehicle assessment platform for the remarketing industry.

The company said that platform will use the latest technology and incorporate the years of experience Gapinski and his team have garnered to improve the speed and reliability of the process, in addition to reducing the cost of certified pre-owned assessments for customers.

Features include a fully configurable standards and scoring algorithm, customizable corporate-level dashboards and guided self-assessment functionalities.

Gapinski has spent years developing and improving vehicle inspection and assessment platforms. He said continuing that work for CT Services made sense at this stage of his career.

“Earlier in my career, my team and I had developed and managed one of the very first electronic CPO assessment platforms,” Gapinski said in a news release.

Gapinski also said, “Since we built the first-generation platform, it was only natural that we get members of the original team back together to build a new and improved version for the marketplace.”

CT Services is the automotive inspection and auditing division of Jack Cooper Transport, a North American transporter of new and used vehicles.

Gapinski was with SGS North America for 23 years, serving roles such as national account executive, national client service/training/safety manager, vice president of operations, and most recently, vice president/executive director of business development. Before his time at SGS, he was owner of inspection company Innovative Technologies based in Cincinnati.

“Our management team is excited to have Bob join our ranks,” said Dan Kennedy, senior vice president of business development for Jack Cooper Diversified.

Kennedy also said, “Bob’s knowledge, extensive experience and solid industry reputation will allow us to expand our business and launch new services in markets that were previously untapped by our organization.”
