RUEIL-MALMAISON, France –
Groupe PSA is getting into the peer-to-peer used-car sales with the launch of Carventura.com.
This development not only broadens the company’s used-car presence, but aligns with its Push to Pass plan, a tenet of which includes “digital transformation.”
The Carventura site aims to add some security for both buyers and sellers in a market that PSA called France’s biggest “but also its least secure,” that being the peer-to-peer used-car market.
Carventura aims to accomplish this through:
- The Carventura Advisor piece that offers a market value appraisal of a vehicle, basing this off a benchmark vehicle and a rating.
- An independent, 200-point inspection, including a full road test.
- A 100-percent online anti-fraud solution designed to secure buyer/seller identity and payment
- Six-month mechanical breakdown warranty
- Paperwork management, delivery in metropolitan France and a car-seeker tool. The latter helps customers find vehicles based on their needs.
“Groupe PSA is continuing its offensive in the used-car market with the creation of Carventura.com, which will help meet the needs of new customers,” said Marc Lechantre, vice president of Groupe PSA’s used-car business unit, in a news release.
“Our strategy is to support all customers in their car-related mobility project, through our brand networks, multi-brand e-commerce platforms and now peer-to-peer marketplaces,” he said.
