While automotive dealers served by the company will have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on the revamped technology, JD Power on Monday announced the launch of the JD Power Platform for its OEM customers.
JD Power highlighted the unified intelligence hub brings together the company’s portfolio of products, market data, and intelligence into a single, intuitive experience.
At the heart of the platform is Pulse, which synthesizes multiple JD Power data sources into a comprehensive brand health rank and market position relative to competitors weighted by business impact.
JD Power indicated users can immediately see their competitive position, understand what is driving changes in performance, and identify where to focus.
Pulse measures performance across six key business drivers:
—Brand strength
—New-sales operations
—F&I performance
—Used-sales operations
—Fixed operations
—Product strategy

Additional features and capabilities are planned for next year, according to a JD Power news release.
“Delivering competitive automotive intelligence instantly based on all of our robust proprietary data assets is what sets the JD Power Platform apart,” JD Power chief product and technology officer Meg Wilson said in the news release.
“With a clear view of customers’ performance against competitive benchmarks, Pulse synthesizes proprietary data sources into one performance rank, enabling automotive leaders to understand exactly where they stand and what’s driving their success,” Wilson continued.
These proprietary sources include PIN Transaction Data, Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI), Initial Quality Study (IQS), Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL), Tech Experience Index (TXI), Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS), Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), Residual Values and Repair Analytics.
The JD Power Platform also features:
—Unified login: A single, streamlined entry point to the entire JD Power portfolio, eliminating the need for multiple passwords or bouncing between disconnected systems.
—Centralized intelligence hub: Pulse features an intuitive interface that connects JD Power data and shows their cumulative impact across the entire OEM value chain.
—Role-based customization: Customizable interface and views adapted to different user roles, teams, customer segments, and business priorities—from executive-level trend analysis to detailed operational metrics.
—Scalable architecture: The platform is built to evolve, with new capabilities and product integrations rolling out based on customer feedback.
“Automotive decision makers expect one, easy-to-access, unified place to see their entire business picture,” said Thomas King, president of OEM solutions at JD Power. “Our clients’ success depends on every team, from sales to service to product, acting on the same information.
“As part of the JD Power Platform, Pulse gives each of those teams the same view of what’s working and where to focus, helping them make faster, more confident decisions,” King went on to say.
