New 5miles solution aims to boost dealer web traffic, deliver added consumer info

Building upon its latest dealer management system integration, 5miles has augmented its buy/sell platform to accommodate additional dealer-driven features. A marketplace for local services and second-hand goods like cars, the 5miles mobile application connects neighboring buyers and sellers who want to transact.
Almost a year after the unveiling of its dealer inventory integration, 5miles recently introduced a new service that’s built just for automotive dealers called Accelerator Package.
With the 5miles Accelerator Package, dealers can access data showing the location of browsing consumers, measure website clicks, and access a log of recorded calls that can be played back.
According to 5miles, key Accelerator Package features include the following list of functions:
- “Click-to-call” function for interested buyers
- Directions to a dealership
- Removal of competitor listings from the VDP
- A separate buy here, pay here category option
- “One-touch” click access to dealer websites and complete inventory
“5miles bridges the gap that consumers currently face when shopping for a car on a mobile device,” 5miles national sales director Valerie Coleman said in a news release.“Our platform is easy to use, relevant and allows shoppers to connect with car dealers in ways they are unable to on a desktop.”
In addition to having an estimated 575,000 vehicles listed on its platform, 5miles said it facilitates around $250 million in peer-to-peer transactions per month.
“Our dealers get to take advantage of 5miles’ technology and user base to find customers where they are the most: on their mobile devices,” said Coleman.
