MONTREAL -

Dealers now have another option when choosing where to list their inventory online.

Adding to the ranks of sites which include AutoTrader.ca, Kijiji, and more, is AutoGo.ca. TC Media introduced the new site this week, which is designed for drivers who are looking for a new or used vehicle, anywhere across Canada

Interestingly, the site — which is available in both French and English — touts an unusual search option.

Consumers using AutoGo.ca can search for vehicles by “lifestyle,” the company said.

For example, users can search for vehicles that would be relevant or desirable for, say, a family. Or, for instance, shoppers might tailor searches that match the needs of young people, couples or students  — the list goes on.

The site holds an inventory from more than 1,400 dealers and 70,000 cars for sale in Canada.

The site has only been up and running for a short time, but it has already received more than 30,000 unique visits in just one month of marketing, the company said.

TC Media is also leveraging its local newspaper websites to advertise AutoGo.ca, and is also partnering with automotive websites such as Wheels.ca and AutoCatch.com.

The company contends the automobile network provided with AutoGo.ca offers a total reach of more than 1.1 million unique visitors and more than 8 million pages views per month.

Interested dealers and merchants “can post their entire inventory of cars for sale online, all for one price, with no limit of inventory,” the company said.

“We are thrilled to switch into high gear and present this new innovative media property, AutoGo.ca, to better meet the needs of our clients and consumers,” said Bruno Leclaire, senior vice president, digital solutions at TC Media.

“At TC Media, we are recognized for creating high-quality content through our leading media brands, and for being very close to the communities and markets we serve. AutoGo.ca represents another way for us to engage our consumers through relevant content and provide targeted local car listings that will echo their lifestyle,” he continued.

On the consumer side of things, users are privy to opinions and reviews from automotive specialists as well as information on new launches and automotive news.

“An additional key feature which allows buyers to post comments and car reviews to express their opinions is now activated. Drivers' comments are another way to tap into interesting information and make enlightened comparisons,” officials concluded.
