New Service Aims to Bring Local Same-Brand Customers Back to Dealership & Generate More Used Inventory

A newly launched service founded by a longtime car dealer is aiming to help dealerships and automakers connect with local same-brand customers and bring them back into the store to trade in or resell their rides.
Based out of Costa Mesa, Calif., Hitfigure is designed to not only aid franchised dealers in generating more local same-brand used inventory, but also provide other services, as well, says founder Donny Gath.
Gath now heads up iLuxCars, an Internet wholesale company specializing in exotic vehicles. Although he does not currently work in-house at a dealership, Gath has a diverse background in this area, including everything from working the sales desk at a Toyota store to being the dealer principal of a Lamborghini store.
“We help dealers — by working on behalf of their brands — to grow and protect their customer database,” said Gath. “This is more than used-car inventory. This is an automotive brand and customer retention tool that increases awareness, marketing opportunities and revenue opportunities for new- and used-car sales, parts, service and more.”
As for the service’s flexibility, he added: “It's up to dealers to choose whether or not to represent and protect their brands in their area, and they can set geographic parameters for customer reach beyond their immediate market. We've got the consumer-facing side of our business nailed down. What we need are franchised dealers who are ready and able to service local customers in high volume.”
Hitfigure can reach as many as 200 million consumers a month on behalf of 46 car brands throughout all 50 states, thanks to “advanced marketing strategies and technologies employed by some of the world’s largest organizations,” according to the company.
Additionally, Hitfigure shows consumers the value they and their vehicles bring to OEMs and dealer networks, it noted.
This process aims to drive these local, same-brand customers back to the dealer when it’s time to trade in or resell their vehicle.
In its statement announcing its services, the company further outlines how the process works for consumers, as follows:
1. Same-brand local consumers are educated and then routed through the Hitfigure process at www.Hitfigure.com. They enter their vehicle's information, including make, model, year, mileage and condition.
2. This information is then distributed to multiple local franchised car dealers in the Hitfigure network who sell the same brand and who make competitive offers to buy the car.
3. Pending an inspection and the completion of necessary paperwork, the seller gets a check and the dealer takes delivery of the car.
4. The service is free to consumers, with no obligation to sell their car or buy another.
