Once again this holiday season, Reynolds and Reynolds spread some cheer through bicycles.
The dealership software provider held its 19th annual Bike Build events at its headquarters in Dayton, Ohio, where the tradition began, as well as its offices in Houston and College Station, Texas.
In a news release, Reynolds said the program’s aim is to help families in need alleviate the stress of tight holiday budgets and bring joy to children’s lives at the same time. In all, company associates and their families built and donated almost 400 bicycles.
Since the Bike Built began in 2007, Reynolds has distributed more than 4,250 bikes.
Some 1,850 of those bikes were built in Dayton, where this holiday season dozens of associates constructed and donated 92 bicycles to the Columbus-based 121st Air Refueling Wing of the Ohio Air National Guard, Hannah’s Treasure Chest, Fisher-Nightingale Houses and Blue Star Mothers Dayton.
The Houston contingent doubled its output of the previous year with 200 bikes, which went to the Texas Military Forces at Ellington Field Joint Reserve Base and SpringSpirit, a nonprofit organization that helps youth through ministries, sports, education and mentoring programs.
