SAN FRANCISCO -

Scoop Technologies, the San Francisco-based corporate carpooling solution provider that claims to have already organized over 3 million carpools in just three years, has named a founding team member of the Chariot commuter shuttle service its new vice president of sales.

Chosen for the position is Josh Weisman, who most recently led global sales and marketing at Chariot, following Ford Smart Mobility’s acquisition of the firm in 2016, Scoop announced Tuesday.

Founded in 2015, Scoop is backed by investors such as BMW iVentures, Signia Venture Partners, Index Ventures, Workday and G2VP. The carpooling company connects commuters in the San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, Portland and Reno, Nev., areas by partnering with employers.

In his new role, along with managing Scoop’s entire enterprise sales process, Weisman has also been tasked with fostering partnerships with employers across both new and existing markets.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Josh to the team,” Scoop co-founder and chief executive officer Rob Sadow said in a news release. “Josh is a results-driven leader with demonstrated success in developing strong relationships with enterprises and government entities. Josh’s experience in the mobility space, combined with his excellent record scaling a highly effective and efficient sales organization, makes him a great fit for the team,” he said.

While at Chariot, Weisman led the service’s go-to-market strategy, launched in operations five new markets, built out the company's original operations team and expanded service across the San Francisco Bay Area, according to Scoop.

“I’m excited about this opportunity to join a high-growth company with such a compelling mission,” said Weisman. “Scoop represents an evolution in new and shared mobility and is working with some of the world’s largest employers to drive behavior change at scale.

“I’m honored to lead the company’s talented sales team and help bring Scoop’s product and incredible impact to employers everywhere.”
