Trusted Sale on Wednesday rebooted its primary product for dealers to highlight the significant time and money spent on inspecting and reconditioning vehicles before offering them for sale.
The company has positioned itself as the Used Vehicle Proof Platform — a technology and verification tool that can transform dealership reconditioning activity into independently verified, customer-facing digital evidence.
Trusted Sale integrates with dealership management or inventory systems and uses dealer-defined inspection protocols customized for ICE, hybrid and electric vehicles. Reconditioning repair-order information is incorporated into the process, while Trusted Sale’s dedicated quality assurance team reviews inspections and manages remediation before approval.
The result is the Trusted Report, which is a consumer-friendly digital record showing the vehicle’s current condition and the work performed to prepare it for sale.
Customers can access the evidence directly from the dealer’s website, by scanning a QR code at the vehicle and through Carfax Vehicle History Reports.
Trusted Sale founder and CEO Paul Brobson sees that combination creating a powerful complement to traditional vehicle history.

“Dealers spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars making a used vehicle better before it reaches the customer, but most shoppers never see that investment,” Brobson said in a news release. “Trusted closes that gap. Instead of asking customers to simply believe a vehicle was thoroughly inspected and professionally reconditioned, dealers can show them the proof.”
Beaver Toyota in Cumming, Ga., is already seeing the impact of putting that proof directly in front of used-car shoppers.
“Our gross has gotten better after we shared the Trusted Reports with our customers. What happens is you end up building a reputation in your community that you sell really good used cars, and that, to me, is worth every dollar,” Beaver Toyota general manager Patrick Abad said in the news release.
Like Beaver Toyota, dealers can define their standards and digitally inspect vehicles, and Trusted Sale independently verifies the results.
Furthermore, unlike conventional certification programs, dealers determine which vehicles participate. Trusted can support as-is inventory, dealer-certified vehicles and OEM certified pre-owned vehicles, allowing the platform to complement rather than replace a dealer’s existing used-car strategy.
“Used-car merchandising has become incredibly sophisticated, but reconditioning evidence hasn’t kept pace,” said Brobson, who is among the experts, executives and entrepreneurs slated to speak during Used Car Week that begins on Nov. 16 in San Diego.
“If a dealer does a better job preparing its vehicles than the competition, that dealer should get credit for it. Trusted gives them the proof,” Brobson went on to say.
