US News & World Report Taps TrueCar as Exclusive Provider of Trade-In Valuation

U.S. News & World Report expanded its relationship with TrueCar on Monday.
Officials explained U.S. News is now incorporating ClearBook, TrueCar’s full-featured used-vehicle valuation tool, in various places on the U.S. News Best Cars website.
TrueCar will be the exclusive provider of trade-in value and used-vehicle estimated market value data and pricing to 30 million annual visitors. U.S. News Best Cars becomes the latest automotive buying site to provide TrueCar’s ClearBook technology to used buyers and sellers with transparent pricing information from actual used sales data.
“TrueCar continues to launch new products that are in line with U.S. News’ mission of helping consumers make informed decisions,” said Bageshri Ghate, general manager of autos for U.S. News. “ClearBook gives used car shoppers more confidence regarding how much they should spend on a used car and what their own car is worth.”
With the introduction of ClearBook on U.S. News Best Cars, consumers visiting the site can now do the following:
—Find used vehicle pricing information for thousands of makes and models within a consumer’s local area including expected sale price, recommended list price and trade-in price.
—View rankings of used car models based on a price range so consumers can find the best used models within their budget.
“ClearBook helps millions of buyers, sellers and trade-in customers to more accurately price a used vehicle,” said Jason Nierman, vice president of business development at TrueCar.
“ClearBook provides U.S. News customers with unprecedented transparency in the used car pricing information and valuation arena, which will enable them to make a smart used car buying decision,” Nierman went on to say.
