UVeye has joined with Acadia Insurance in a strategic collaboration the companies said will “reshape the automotive insurance claim landscape.”

The partnership integrates UVeye’s artificial intelligence-powered computer vision automated vehicle inspection systems into Acadia’s appraisal process to add efficiency and accuracy, accelerating the claims process for vehicles involved in accidents.

UVeye said its drive-through systems will enable appraisers to conduct assessments of vehicle damage with much greater speed and accuracy than manual, reducing wait times and increasing transparency.

In a news release, the companies said the collaboration represents “a milestone in the integration of AI in the insurance industry.”

“Insurance has long been characterized by traditional, manual processes, but this boost of computer vision gives us a glimpse into the future,” Acadia chief claims officer Keith Gleason said. “We’re proud to work with UVeye to pioneer this transformative AI-driven approach, introducing a new standard in insurance claims management, one that prioritizes accuracy, efficiency, safety and, ultimately, customer satisfaction.

“It’s a win-win for both the insurer and the insured.”

UVeye CEO and co-founder Amir Hever said the companies are working to “pioneer a new era” of AI-driven claims processing.

“Together, we are rewriting the rules of insurance claims management,” he said. “Drivers will be amazed how simple, accurate and trustworthy the claims process is about to become, making car scrape-ups that much less painful.”
