UVeye’s inspection capabilities have grown. And so have the vehicles it’s inspecting.

The provider of artificial intelligence-powered vehicle inspection technology said it has expanded its automated systems to support commercial fleets, including Class 6-8 trucks and buses.

The company said its heavy-duty platform is specifically engineered for the trucking and bus sector and compliant with CTP AT17 requirements in the U.S. and U.K., enabling an automated 17-point inspection process.

UVeye’s new platform is designed to address issues of excessive vehicle downtime and delayed deliveries with a comprehensive inspection system that integrates into fleet workflows to streamline operations.

The drive-through scanner performs a 360-degree scan of heavy-duty vehicles in seconds to detect external or mechanical flaws and identifying damage, modifications or foreign objects under and around the vehicle, the company said. The inspection generates a digital report with annotated images.

“Extending UVeye into the trucking and bus market is a pivotal milestone,” CEO and co-founder Amir Hever said. “We’ve already scanned millions of vehicles for OEMs and dealerships, and now we’re bringing that same proven accuracy and transparency to fleets.

“It’s all about helping operators maximize uptime, reduce costs and deliver a better customer experience.”

UVeye said its systems maximize safety and quality assurance by detecting issues such as worn, mismatched and non-compliance tires; leaks, cracks, rust and hidden structural damage in the underbody; and scratches, dents and hard-to-spot flaws on the exterior.
