DETROIT -

Along with learning the names of the finalists vying for the 2012 Time Dealer of the Year honor, Auto Remarketing discovered Ally Financial is unveiling a digital hub today to honor dealer achievements throughout the country.

Recognizing that dealers serve as the backbone of its auto financial business, Ally, the exclusive sponsor of the Time award, congratulated the “50 extraordinary dealers” named as finalists.

Tim Russi, executive vice president of Ally’s North American Operations, explained “Dealers in every community across the United States continue to make positive contributions that improve the lives of so many.

“Ally is truly honored to be a part of improving local communities across our great country, as well, and celebrating dealers as local heroes,” he continued.

The company will make contributions to local community causes on behalf of all 50 nominated dealers throughout the U.S. Moreover, the winner will receive a $10,000 contribution for a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization of choice.

Ally told Auto Remarketing it plans to update the dealer hub regularly and offer dealer profiles, as well as inspiring stories on how these auto professionals make a difference in the communities where they live and work.

“Our dealer hub truly showcases the strong commitment to philanthropy and a willingness on behalf of so many dealers to engage in positive +community outreach activities,” Russi pointed out. “The hub serves as an online community for dealers, community leaders and even consumers to showcase, collaborate and share stories on how to get involved and make a difference.”

Heading into its 43rd year, the Time Dealer of the Year program is a highly prestigious award that is produced in cooperation with the National Automobile Dealers Association.

The winner will be announced at the NADA Convention and Expo in Las Vegas on Feb. 4. To view Ally’s new digital dealer hub, visit allybizhero.com.
