10 States with Lowest Age of Trade-Ins

According to data from Edmunds.com provided to Auto Remarketing, the state with the lowest average age of vehicle trade-ins during February also happens to be one of the smallest, population-wise.
With an average trade-in age of just 5.34 years, topping Edmunds’ list last month was Alaska. It was followed by North Dakota (5.42 years), Wyoming (5.43 years) and Texas (5.49), respectively.
In a tie for fifth-youngest trade-ins were Alabama and South Dakota (5.52 years).
Interestingly enough, while a state bordering the Pacific Ocean topped the list of freshest trade-ins last month, it was three Pacific states that anchored the list of oldest cars.
The average age of trade-ins was highest in Washington (7.33 years), followed by Hawaii (7.11 years) and Oregon (7.09 years).
Northeastern states Connecticut (6.92) and Massachusetts (6.82) rounded out the top five eldest states.
