ADESA has made management changes at three of its 77 North American auction locations in Arizona, Tennessee and Florida.

Rance Rudy has been named general manager of ADESA Phoenix, Jay Smith will now serve as general manager of ADESA Knoxville and Lisette Minton has been appointed general manager of ADESA Sarasota.

“Rance brings to his new role extensive experience in auction operations and management, along with strong sales and customer service skills,” ADESA West region vice president Jay Hinchman said in a news release. “These unique qualifications will allow Rance to make an immediate, positive impact on the auction experience at ADESA Phoenix and greatly benefit our valued customers.”

Rudy has over 20 years of experience in the auto auction industry; over 14 years have been with ADESA. He most recently served as assistant general manager at ADESA Phoenix, a role he took on in 2015 after serving as fleet/lease manager at ADESA Golden Gate.

Before ADESA Golden Gate, Rudy was the fleet/lease manager and assistant general manager at ADESA Dallas and also served as executive sales director, national accounts, for ADESA.

Smith, who has nearly two decades of industry experience, joined ADESA in 2005 and was promoted to assistant general manager at ADESA Cincinnati/Dayton last year.

Prior to his promotion, Smith had served in a variety of roles at the auction, such as management positions in sales, marketing, fleet/lease, accounts, and dealer sales and services. He has also worked at ADESA Queen City where he oversaw daily operations as auction manager.

ADESA said Minton has more than 25 years of experience in the auto auction industry. She was most recently assistant general manager at ADESA Atlanta and spent nine years at the auction as commercial accounts manager.

“Lisette has developed exceptional operational and customer service skills from the broad range of management roles she has held within the industry and across our company,” ADESA Eastern region executive vice president Mike Caggiano said. “She is a perfect fit to lead the team at ADESA Sarasota and help our customers achieve their business results. I look forward to working with her.”

Minton began her career as a dealer registration clerk at Bayside Auto Auction, and in 1999, she was promoted to fleet manager at ADESA Tampa.
