Carvana is bringing the next verse of its now-familiar song to the Music City.

The online used-car retailer said it’s adding inspection and reconditioning center capabilities to its ADESA Nashville auction, making it the 10th and latest in a series of such combined facilities the company had originally dubbed “Megasites.”

Carvana said the addition will expand its overall production capacity and create a new pool of retail inventory in Nashville, enabling faster delivery options for retail customers, including same-day delivery. The IRC will also bolster ADESA Nashville’s recon infrastructure for its wholesale customers.

ADESA Nashville’s 50-acre site in Old Hickory, Tenn., will include Carvana IRC operations and ADESA digital wholesale auction services. Carvana said it expects to create some 100 new jobs at the site and has begun hiring for positions supporting inspection, reconditioning and fulfillment activities.

“Carvana and ADESA have deep roots in Nashville, and we’re excited to keep building our team and presence here,” Carvana senior vice president of inventory Brian Boyd said. “Bringing Carvana IRC capabilities to ADESA Nashville will enhance selection and delivery speed for local retail customers, strengthen our digital auction offering for wholesale customers in the region and create new job opportunities for both entry-level and skilled professionals in the community.”
