America’s Auto Auction has spent the past several years investing in the business by acquiring auctions nationwide and, most recently, expanding its specialty sales segment.
Its latest investment announcement is about something more personal — its people.
The company has launched America’s Leadership Journey, a 12-week leadership development program designed to cultivate confident, capable and people-first leaders from within.
The program focuses on 10 core leadership competencies, including communication, coaching, conflict resolution, ownership and accountability, and blends instructor-led virtual sessions with weekly assignments and peer collaboration.
More than 90 participants have already enrolled, with 48 graduates to date.
“At America’s Auto Auction, we believe strong leadership is the foundation of a strong organization,” senior vice president Brian Thomas said. “This program is more than just training. It’s a commitment to consistent, intentional growth across our teams and a direct investment in both our people and the customer experience.”
In a news release, the company said participants have reported “meaningful personal and professional growth,” and its auctions’ general managers are seeing improvements in team performance, communication and initiative.
“The Leadership Journey program challenged me to lead with greater empathy, listen with intention and grow with my team, not just above them,” said Sam Tuggle, America’s Auto Auction Kansas City operations manager and one of the program’s first participants. “It’s helped me become a more thoughtful, people-first manager.”
The company said the program’s goal is to equip confident, capable leaders who foster connection, collaboration and long-term consistency across the organization, adding it’s part of a broader people strategy — which will include additional programs — to build a leadership-driven culture from within and strengthen the organization from the ground up.
