America’s Group has announced a second acquisition in less than a week and added yet another state to its footprint.
After making its Iowa debut with the purchase of Plaza Auto Auction, America’s Group said Monday it has acquired Dealers Auto Auction of the Southwest, its first location in Arizona.
The auction was founded in 2002 by Brad Sturgeon and Bill Baker and has most recently been led by Jim Mumford. The 15-acre auction facility includes six full-service lanes. Its weekly sales, held at noon on Wednesdays, include more than 800 vehicles.
“This acquisition is another important milestone in our growth story,” America’s Group CEO Chuck Tapp said. “We’re focused on expanding our national footprint in markets where strong local operators are already delivering exceptional service.
“Dealers Auto Auction of the Southwest exemplifies the culture, performance, and customer first mindset that aligns with our vision.”
Tapp added, “By combining local expertise with the scale, technology, and resources of America’s Auto Auction, we believe we’re creating even more opportunity for dealers across Arizona and the broader Southwest region. Our goal is growth that’s intentional, sustainable, and rooted in partnerships.”
