America’s Group adds to Louisiana footprint with 8th purchase of 2025

America’s Group is wading further into the Gulf Coast.
The auto auction group said Monday it has acquired Lake Charles Auto Auction, a Louisiana business which has served dealers in the region since 1991.
The auction, founded by Mike Pedersen, has featured more than 530,400 consigned vehicles and sold more than 291,000. It has more than 1,400 active selling dealers.
This is America’s Group’s eighth purchase so far in 2025.
“Lake Charles Auto Auction is a perfect fit for America’s Auto Auction, not just in terms of operational excellence, but because of the strong community and customer-first culture the Pedersen family has built,” America’s Group CEO Chuck Tapp said in a news release. “We’re excited to welcome their team and customers into the America’s network and to help grow what’s already a thriving, trusted business.”
The auction has been renamed America’s Auto Auction Lake Charles. Its 10 a.m. (CT) Wednesday sale includes fleet/lease, repossession, new-car dealer and independent dealer inventory, plus more.
The sale includes more than 500 vehicles in six lanes. It hosts an INOP sale on the last Wednesday of each month.

Late last month, America’s announced the acquisition of Mid-State Auto Auction, located in New York Mills, Minn. By adding the facility that now will be known as America’s Auto Auction Minnesota, the company now operates in 21 states nationwide.
These moves continue what has been an active year of expansion for America’s.
