America’s Group capped a year of growth by taking the Expressway to the Empire State.

A few days before Christmas, the auction group announced it had expanded into New York state with the acquisition of Expressway Auto Auction in Dansville, N.Y.

The auction was founded in 1967 and was a multi-generational family-owned business. It has been renamed America’s Auto Auction New York and will continue to hold weekly sales at 5:30 pm (ET) on Tuesdays.

Brothers Scott and Jeff Tracy, who sold the auction, said in a news release: “It is with sincere gratitude that we announce the sale of Expressway Auto Auction. Working alongside our exceptional clients, consignors, and buyers has been the honor of our careers. Your passion and commitment continue to inspire us week after week.

“We extend our deepest thanks to everyone who has supported us over the years, especially our family, whose leadership and support have guided this journey from the beginning. As a multi-generation family business, this auction has always been about more than cars. It has been about people, relationships, and a legacy we are incredibly proud of.”

They added: “We’re proud to share that Kyle Tracy and Lyndsey Tracy will be staying on, continuing the legacy and relationships that make this auction special. We are confident that America’s Auto Auction is the right group to take Expressway Auto Auction to the next level, delivering even greater results for our clients while supporting the team in unmatched ways. We look forward to watching it continue to grow and thrive.”

America’s Group CEO Chuck Tapp said, ““This acquisition represents an exciting step forward for our organization. Not only are we expanding our presence in the Northeast, but we’re welcoming an auction with a remarkable history and deep commitment to dealer relationships. Entering New York with the Expressway team sets a strong foundation for continued growth in the region.”
