FRANKLIN, Tenn. -

TPC Management’s professional education program, Auction Academy, began 2013 by holding two training sessions this past month.

First, the Academy’s Senior Auction Managers Group met in Orlando, Fla., and they included a visit to NADA’s conference as part of the curriculum.  Later last month, The Next Generation / Sons and Daughter Group gathered in Birmingham, Ala., for classes focusing on risk management, officials shared.

The Orlando session ran in conjunction with the annual NADA Convention and Expo and was hosted by by Sanford Auto Dealers Exchange.

Students had a chance to tour the NADA booths and vendors as well as participate in classroom sessions.

The students also toured Sanford Auto Dealer Exchange and had the opportunity to discuss the operations of the auction with Jeff Brody, auction co-owner and other senior auction staff, Academy officials shared.

Next up, the Birmingham session for the  Next Generation Group was hosted by Tom Adams and Auction Insurance Agency.

The meeting began with visits to ABC Birmingham Auto Auction and ADESA Birmingham. It also included classroom sessions, as well.

And the Academy has more plans for the spring. Later in the spring, the two current class groups will meet together in the Baltimore area, hosted by BSC America’s Bel Air Auto Auction.
