Auction Edge & ShipCarsNow Integrate to Offer More Efficient Auto Transport

A new integration between Auction Edge and ShipCarsNow is designed to help dealers and consignors transport vehicles more efficiently.
Auction Edge announced this week that buyers, sellers and consigners across the independent auto auction industry can now utilize ShipCarsNow from Auction Edge’s auction management platform.
The integration offers Auction Edge customers the ability to ship multiple vehicles to multiple destinations and take advantage of built-in volume pricing, the company said.
Scott Finkle, Auction Edge senior vice president, said, “Our goal is nothing short of having the best platform serving the independent auto remarketing industry. We want to make it as easy and as cost efficient as possible for our Auction Edge customers to manage shipping and delivery of their sales and purchases. Dealers and consigners with AuctionACCESS IDs will be able to set up a ShipCarsNow account with a couple of clicks and start shipping vehicles immediately.”
ShipCarsNow, which is part of Union Pacific, transports approximately one out of three new cars sold in the U.S., reported Auction Edge, and has more than 1,300 trucking companies under contract plus strategic ties with major Class I railroads.
“ShipCarsNow is excited to integrate with Auction Edge,” said Roland Fortner, president of ShipCarsNow. “No one has the reach in the independent auto remarketing industry that they do.
“Auction Edge’s open platform and commitment to customer service match our own philosophy. At ShipCarsNow, we believe that reliable and affordable auto transport options make it easier for dealers to trade cars nationwide,” Fortner added.
