Mid Kansas Auto Auction gave a helping hand to children in its community who need one.

The Wichita auction’s Helping Hands Benefit Sale on June 18 raised $30,077 for Wichita’s Littlest Heroes, a nonprofit organization that serves medically fragile children and their families in Kansas through free events, financial assistance, art therapy, online support and more

“The lanes were full, the bids were strong and thanks to the incredible generosity of our dealer community, we officially crushed our $30,000 goal,” MKSAA said in a news release. “This organization holds a special place in our hearts, and we were honored to rally support for their mission. From financial assistance and monthly family events to art therapy, educational classes and free memberships to local attractions, Wichita’s Littlest Heroes is dedicated to helping children feel seen, supported and empowered during some of the toughest battles of their lives.”

Dealers were given the opportunity to donate a portion of their sale fees during the sale, and MKSAA provided matching contribution for every vehicle sold. The auction also held a raffle for a $3,000 vacation package.

Wichita’s Littlest Heroes was founded in 2014 by Brianna Coffey-Baskerville after her young son Tristan was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder. What started as a single friendship between two young boys in hospital beds quickly grew into a community of more than 800 Kansas families navigating similar medical journeys.

Today, WLH brings together children and parents who understand each other’s challenges, providing support, shared experiences and lifelong friendships.

MKSAA thanked the participating dealers “for stepping up and showing what this community can do when we come together for a great cause. Whether you bought, sold, donated or simply showed up, you helped make a real impact — and we’re so proud to have done it alongside you.”

Salvato Auctions announces integration with bidding platforms

Salvato Auctions announced new integrations with bidding software platforms, including Bid Buddy and BidCall Direct.

The auction said the integrations, which are expected to go live this month, will introduce buyers to the fresh insurance salvage vehicle inventory it has available for sale, allowing them to discover, research and connect to Salvato’s listings directly from the bidding platforms they already use and link to SalvatoAuctions.com.

Salvato Auctions said registration is free, with no annual membership fee.

“Supporting the most popular bidding systems is about meeting buyers where they are,” Salvato Auctions head of global buyer development Dan Oscarson said. “These data integrations make it simple for recyclers and rebuilders anywhere to find quality insurance vehicles and bid confidently through Salvato Auctions, where auction fees are always 20% to 40% lower than Copart or IAA.”

For insurers selling total loss inventory, Salvato said, the integrations place their vehicles in front of thousands of qualified buyers daily to generate maximum reach and true market value.

“I’m excited to see the innovative approach Salvato Auctions is taking to help buyers save money on auction fees,” Buddy Automotive Innovations owner Mike Lambert said. “Integrating Salvato Auctions’ vehicles into the Bid Buddy platform will help our customers save money acquiring the same high quality insurance vehicles they’ve been buying from other auctions.”
