Auction Academy’s support from the auto remarketing industry continues to grow.

TPC Management Company’s executive development program announced three additions to its network of 22 industry sponsors: AuctionNet, a provider of wholesale used vehicle remarketing data backed by the National Auto Auction Association’s 265 member auctions; transportation logistics company RunBuggy; and Pinnacle Remarketing Powered by Location Services, a provider of asset recovery and remarketing services.

“Our sponsors are integral to Auction Academy’s success,” Academy president Penny Wanna said. “Over time their generosity — whether financial, academic or experiential — has allowed us to grow well beyond our original vision. The support from AuctionNet, RunBuggy, Pinnacle Remarketing and all of our sponsors ensures we can continue to offer unparalleled education and industry engagement to our students.”

The two-year Auction Academy program was established in 2011 and is currently training its ninth class group.

“Auction Academy is a force for good in our industry,” RunBuggy vice president of enterprise sales Bob Taar said. “Auction Academy is where leaders are formed and networks are built, shaping the trajectory of individual businesses and the industry for years to come. It’s an exciting time to learn and to educate in the remarketing industry, and we’re glad RunBuggy can be a part of the journey.”

Pinnacle Remarketing chief remarketing officer Paul Seger called Auction Academy “a fundamental component of our industry’s education and professional development. … The success of Auction Academy is a testament to the collaborative spirit of the automotive remarketing industry, and we applaud the efforts of Auction Academy’s leaders and educators.”

In addition to the sponsors, Wanna recognized companies that serve as host sponsors and open their auctions to students throughout the course of the program, providing guided tours, answering industry questions and sharing their insight on processes, operations, fleet management and more.

“Our host sponsors bring classroom concepts to life,” she said. “They bridge theory and practice in a way only real-world exposure can deliver.”
