Autosled has launched its latest weapon in the war against fraud.
The provider of digital technology for vehicle transport logistics unveiled SecurePass, a digital gate pass system for vehicle shipments designed to combat increasing industry fraud attempts while producing smoother vehicle pickups and deliveries.
“SecurePass’s market-leading technology provides retail automotive dealers and dealership employees with unparalleled peace of mind during their vehicle shipments,” Autosled co-founder and chief revenue officer David Sperau said.
The company said the new system, built to safeguard vehicle shipments, supports real-time authentication, enables audit tracking and improves the “overall accountability and integrity of the entire process” by providing verification for both the shipment and the driver details, without which a vehicle cannot be released for pickup.
SecurePass generates a unique, watermark-protected document that includes an embedded QR code unique to each shipment, which provides access to Autosled’s real-time validation portal, the company said, adding the system not only reduces the risk of unauthorized vehicle access, it accelerates the verification process as well.
“With SecurePass, we’ve built technology that fundamentally raises the bar for shipment security,” vice president of technology Frank Soehnge said. “Every QR code, every verification step, every passcode is designed to close the gaps bad actors exploit. SecurePass not only protects vehicles but also creates a more reliable and trustworthy process for everyone in the automotive transport ecosystem.”
Autosled said SecurePass is available to its customers at no extra cost.
