GAINESVILLE, Ga. –
Black Book announced Wednesday that it is now providing monthly valuation and pricing updates for all specialty market vehicles.
This includes old cars and special markets like collectible, exotic and highline cars; as well as motorcycles and powersports, recreational vehicles and medium/heavy-duty trucks.
The company explained that even though many of these markets might follow seasonal patterns when it comes to pricing changes, it’s possible that additional or unexpected factors could lead to unforeseen pricing changes.
Black Book gives the example of snowmobile. In late fall, unusual weather patterns kept this market’s values from hitting the increase it would normally see that season.
“Black Book’s regular updates alerted dealers who were able to make adjustments for stocking and selling inventory,” the company said.
Vice president and managing editor Ricky Beggs said: “Infrequent updates on prices won’t account for smaller valuation changes which, when added up, can provide a significant adverse impact to a dealer’s profit margins.
