Brasher’s Northwest AA Enjoys Another Successful Checkered Flag Sale

Brasher’s Northwest Auto Auction finished the summer season with its eighth annual Checkered Flag Sale, an event that included team racing, a collector and specialty car show and auction, lively music, great food and a charity event.
All of those events led up to Brasher’s signature Checkered Flag Sale on eight lanes of action.
“Our customers talk about the Checkered Flag sale all year long, and the anticipation really builds as we head through the summer in Eugene,” said auction general manager Lisa Larkin.
“It’s a great mix of speed racing, special events, great food, classic cars and one of the biggest auctions of the year,” Larkin continued.
Race day began at noon on Aug. 21 with open racing and practice sessions on the race course at Brasher’s Northwest. Larkin explained that four-person teams competed in special racing go-carts provided for the event by Black Flag Racing.
Three heats with six teams each determined the finalists for the medal round when racers competed for bragging rights as the champions and a $4,000 cash prize.
This year’s winner was G’s Auto Sales from Medford Ore.
Larkin highlighted Brasher’s Northwest AA has a long winning tradition in its own right, consistently leading the market for its national remarketing partners.
The auction is a six-time winner of Bank of America’s Specialty Auction of the Year Award, a seven-time winner of ARI’s Auction of the Year Award, three-time winner of Capital One’s Auction of the Year Award for the Northwest Region and a two-time winner of US Bank’s Specialty Auction of the Year Award.
